Four Steps to Finding the Perfect Hosting Company

Four Steps to Finding the Perfect Hosting Company

Finding website hosting company that is a perfect fit for your website can be tricky and time consuming. While planning for Odd Opinions I did a lot of homework concerning content, naming and hosting. The content and naming was easy but the hosting company on the other hand, with all of the options available, was more difficult. I had to do some research to find the right fit.

In this article you will learn what types of hosting solutions are available and how to pinpoint the right solution for your website. I will educate you on the options and tell you how I found my solution.

As always, I highly recommend that you do your own research on this subject. It is important you are happy with your hosting solution. Read the reviews on all of them that you are considering. Pricing is not the only option you should base your decision on. I chose a hosting company that would allow me to grow my blog, had a competitive price and got good reviews from customers like me.

Depending on the size of your website and purpose, there are three types of hosting servers available to choose from:

Three Must Have Mobile Apps for the Home

Three Must Have Mobile Apps for the Home

I’m on a quest to use my phone for everything because I hate having stuff in my pockets. House keys, car keys and a garage door remote control are no exception. The reason… I don’t like to carry more than one thing on me at a time.

I wanted to identify the common mobile apps businesses need in order to be successful. The following are examples of mobile apps currently available on the Android, Apple and Microsoft mobile platforms. I used these three platforms strictly because they have the largest market share and have the best chance of meeting business operations needs.

For the sake of this article I am classifying desktop application as an application that is installed on a PC or Mac and not a web-based application. I am defining a mobile app as an app you download and install on your smartphone and tablet.

The purpose of this suggested scenario is to offer a different perspective on typical operations for a business. Through this analysis I offer a different opinion on how technology can transform a business; how a business owner can run their business while on the go.

Disrupting the Current Electronic Health Record Model

Disrupting the Current Electronic Health Record Model

Due to the high cost of an electronic health record system (EHR) (AKA electronic medical record) and patient portal, the industry is ripe for a team of developers to disrupt healthcare technology by developing an affordable subscription based EHR.

One of the biggest discussion points for any healthcare organization is the use of an electronic health record system. Healthcare organizations must meet meaningful use. In order to do that, they have to utilize an EHR and be able to generate reports from the EHR.

Additionally, they need to be able to communicate electronically with their patients; usually through a patient portal.

All of this equates to healthcare organizations spending a large sum of money on an electronic health record and patient portal. In addition to any interfaces needed, training, implementation fees, licensing, etc. and guess what, it gets expensive!
